The Grand Wedding Show 2013
We exhibited at the Grand Wedding Show in the weekend and it was so much fun! The week leading up was a bit crazy trying to get prints, booklets and flyers finalised. But it all came together in the weekend and it was so much fun! Our booth was right by the front door. As soon as you walked in the big doors ”BOOM!” PoppyMoss…but you had to walk past a few vendors before you got to us. Our plan of attack was to really push our name and brand (and not to be pushy! We dont like being pounced on, so thats the last thing we wanted to do to others).
What do you think about the flowers? AMAZING right! Sienna Rose nails it again! So many brides came armed with their cameras and snapped pictures of all our little flower arrangements and knick knacks – ideas they could use for their wedding. Its all about the little details – we love little details.
Alot of what we had in our stall was from home. Its amazing what you can pull together. We only really had to source – white fabric for the walls and the faux wooden flooring. We wanted to get rid of that busy carpet! It was truely a fun day for us, we got to meet some wonderful brides, mothers of brides and grooms (some were less than impressed in having to be at the show – gave us a good laugh everytime we saw a groom being clearly dragged through the show!). Another aspect of the show is that we got to meet some wonderful vendors. We caught up with Dion from The Amazing Travelling PhotoBooth (he even looked after our booth while we went to his, to get our photo taken), we also met Hannah from Styled (so lovely and so creative!). We were smack bang in the middle of Abbeville and The Wharf- both were so chatty and friendly! So refreshing and it just goes to show that we are all in the same boat of like-minded fun loving people. Thats why we are all in the Wedding industry right?

Just a few pics
Camping with Caleb
I had a cancellation for this past weekend so I thought “Caleb! Lets go camping”. On Friday afternoon we packed the car (my poor little VW Polo called Juicy- she’s a trooper) and we head out to the pretty Coromandel. We set up camp at the Hahei Holiday Resort in a nice sunny spot, only a short walk over the dunes to the beach.
On Saturday we went for a mission of a walk to Cathedral Cove. We took all the short walks to the different bays on the way as well – heres me thinking so glad Caleb makes me go for runs during the week – the walk with all its stairs and up hills would have screwed me over otherwise.
Cathedral Cove was amazing! Its the first time I’ve been there – It has been on my bucket list. Next time I would like to go diving – its one big beautiful maine reserve. Did I mention the weather was gorgeous? Like it was the middle of summer – not November. We bought a charcoal BBQ so we sparked up a fire and had yummo dinner, followed with Ciders and Beers on the beach.
Bits and Pieces
Happy Halloween!
Okay by this stage you are probably thinking we are nuts! But Halloween is that one day of the year you can go wild! hehe How was your Halloween?
